Durand Jones & The Indications

R&B/Soul
Bayou-born soul sensation, Durand Jones got his start in the church, after being forced to sing in the choir of his rural hometown Hillaryville, Louisiana because his Grandmother thought he sang too much at home. When his music career took him to Bloomington, Indiana, he was selected to join the legendary Indiana University Soul Revue, and it was through his involvement that he met writer/producer duo Aaron Frazer and Blake Rhein. The three began writing original soul music, recording themselves straight to tape in the basements of Bloomington. That rowdy band unfolded into the Indications (with bassman Kyle Houpt, and organist Justin Hubler).

Bob Mould

Rock, Alternative
To call Bob Mould an alternative rock pioneer would be a gross understatement. After helping to define the genre in the 1980s as a founding member of Husker Du, he took it in new directions throughout the '90s with his band Sugar and several solo albums.

Pop
Unabashed honesty and warm vulnerability turned the Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and performer into 2017’s biggest global breakout star. Audiences first properly experienced her unbridled emotional artistry on the 2016 debut single “Issues.” Certified RIAA double-platinum stateside, it crossed worldwide consumption of 5 million in less than six months and became “the best-selling song by a new artist released in 2017”—according to Nielsen Music—as well as the “highest on-demand audio streaming song by a new artist released in 2017.”

Shy Girls

Electronic, Indie, Pop
Vocalist and producer Dan Vidmar, a.k.a Shy Girls, first came to attention in 2013 with his slow burning, sax-tinged single "Under Attack." In the fall of 2013 he released his first EP, Timeshare, with boutique label Hit City USA, which featured seductive electronic pop jams such as "Second Heartbeat." Shy Girls quickly started garnering attention and acclaim from an array of artists, producers and tastemakers. Vidmar has since collaborated with dance music heavyweights like Cyril Hahn, ODESZA and Jagwar Ma. He's also toured clubs across the country in support of artists such as HAIM, Little Dragon and Grammy award-winning R&B singer Maxwell. In winter of 2015, Vidmar self-released a mixtape,4WZ, featuring his favorite collaborators in the realms of R&B and hip-hop (Tei Shi, Rome Fortune, Antwon and Junglepussy)

The Japanese House

Indie, Pop
The Japanese House is the stage name of English singer/songwriter Amber Bain, who rose in the minimal electronic pop genre that music critics in the U.K. say British listeners find irresistable. In 2017 Bain made the BBC's "Sound Of" list, which identifies the 15 most exciting new music acts of the past 12 months. A few years before, her online demos caught the attention of Matt Healy, the front man of the band The 1975, and Bain was soon signed to their label, Dirty Hit.
