Evergreen's Fall Arts and Crafts Festival

Craft Show, Community Event, For the Family, Social Event
Registration for vendors deadline is Nov 16th. (Link to registration: https://commerce.cashnet.com/business?itemcode=SAW2). The Arts and Crafts Fair is an opportunity for the Evergreen community to enjoy each other's creativity. It is open to all students, student groups, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members to display and sell their original work. Make sure to come check it out. Arts & Crafts will range from jewelry and painting, to photography, printmaking, woodworking, metalworking, ceramics, natural and herbal products, stuffed animals, fiber arts and textiles, stickers and zines, and so much more. This is a great opportunity to find original pieces and get some Christmas shopping done too. You can’t miss it. Location: Vendors will have tables throughout the 2nd floor of the CAB (College Activities Building). Cost: Students pay $5 per table with a limit of 2 tables. Alumni, faculty, staff, and community members pay $15 per table with a limit of 2 tables. Registered Student Groups (RSOs) can participate for free, but all money must go into your special revenue account and you may reserve only one 3x3 table. The registration fee includes the number of tables you request and 2 folding chairs. Craft Requirements: All work must be original/handmade (including recorded music). Vendors are prohibited from selling food products, unless they are student groups. Vendors are also prohibited from selling firearms, weapons (including knives,) drugs/drug paraphernalia, alcohol, and anything promoting racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism or hate speech of any kind. An important note: Materials that are culturally appropriative (exploitative of a culture that isn't your own. Eg: non Native Americans selling Dreamcatchers.), are not permitted to be showcased.

The Daedalus Quartet at Emerald City Music

Emerald City Music is Olympia’s home for top-flight chamber music performances. Now entering its third season, the series brings over 45 classical soloists and chamber musicians to Olympia from every corner of the globe. On December 1st, experience up-close encounter with the Daedalus Quartet, winners of the 2001 Banff International String Quartet Competition and Lincoln Center’s Martin E. Segal Award. Hear Janácek’s Kreutzer Sonata alongside Beethoven’s “Kreutzer” arranged for String Quartet, alongside monumental tunes by Taneyev and Tchaikovsky.
