Simply Meditate

Talks/Lectures, Health & Wellness/Nutrition
The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. If our mind is peaceful, we will be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we will experience true happiness; but if our mind is not peaceful, we will find it very difficult to be happy, even if we are living in the very best conditions. If we train in meditation, our mind will gradually become more and more peaceful, and we will experience a purer and purer form of happiness. Eventually, we will be able to stay happy all the time, even in the most difficult circumstances. These classes will provide you with perfect instructions to the essential components of an effective and joyful meditation practice. If we understand how to meditate correctly, we will have real confidence in our practice, and results will arise effortlessly! Drop in anytime.

New Year New Opportunities: Finding New Ways To Be Happy

We all may have an idea of the changes we want to make in our life, but many times we lack the understanding to know what those changes really should be, and how to bring them about. What we need is a clear understanding of the best path for ourself, and confidence in that understanding while working toward our goals with a relaxed and happy mind. Buddha taught many methods for achieving exactly these results. Please join us to learn practical methods to overcome our discouragement and replace it with an entirely new way of achieving our wishes.

Happiness: The Fruits of a Controlled Mind

Talks/Lectures, Health & Wellness/Nutrition
The pace and pressures of modern life can, at times, make us feel stressed and irritable. Is it possible to be busy and deeply enjoy our life? By controlling our mind in meditation, we create an inner space and clarity that enables us to maintain a happy mind regardless of the external circumstances. Gradually we develop mental equilibrium, a balanced mind that is happy all the time. When the turbulence of distracting thoughts subsides and our mind becomes still, a deep happiness and contentment naturally arise from within.
