Readers Theater Unlimited Presents Word Salad

Readers Theater Unlimited Presents Word Salad

Staged Reading
Readers Theater Unlimited will perform three short plays in which tongue-twisters, malapropisms, and clashing clichés abound. Dragnet (directed by Geri Campbell) was written by comedic genius Johnny Carson as a spoof of the popular television show. The deadpan delivery of Detective Joe Friday will keep you guessing as he investigates a robbery at the Acme School Bell Company. The Auction (written and directed by Marc Harrison) finds Harry and Midge pitted against an unknown bidder as they seek ownership of a multi-lingual sassy-mouthed parrot to further Harry’s wacky schemes. We'll close the afternoon with Easy Aces: Jane Serves on a Jury, directed by Nanette Wichman. When dizzy, free-spirit Jane Ace is chosen to serve on a jury, comical chaos breaks loose in the courtroom.
