Poetry Reading/Spoken Word
Susanne Paola Antonetta is the featured poet for the Olympia Poetry Network’s monthly reading Wednesday, January 17, 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Traditions Café, 300 5th Ave. SW in downtown Olympia. Her book Make Me A Mother was published by W.W. Norton in 2015. She is also author of Body Toxic, A Mind Apart, and four books of poetry, most recently The Lives of the Saints. Her awards include a New York Times Notable Book, an American Book Award, a Library Journal book of the year, an Oprah Bookshelf pick, a Pushcart prize, and others. Her essays and poems have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Orion, The New Republic and many anthologies. She teaches at Western Washington University and is the editor of the Bellingham Review. An Open Mic will precede the reading. The event is free. For more information, call 360-701-2030.
