what a wonderful experience it is to enjoy Uncle Thurm's talented expression of the fantastic food he serves. For our first time there, they made us feel like family! We'll be regulars from now on.

Uncle Thurm will treat you right
His barbecue plate is spot-on. The catfish is fabulous. I can't say that the fried chicken was the best I've ever eaten. The sides were the best -- I've never had better mac 'n' cheese, and the red beans and rice and collared greens were up there. I was disappointed in the cornbread - it was dry, and too bread-y. But all things considered, Uncle Thurms is some of the best BBQ in Tacoma.
