Born and raised in the San Juan Islands, Raven Skyriver is influenced by the marine creatures that inhabit Puget Sound. He captures the essence of these creatures in his sculptures, allowing the viewer a glimpse into their world and an appreciation for the fragility of the balance in nature. During this residency, Skyriver will make multiple sculptures of one design (a pod of killer whales or a school of salmon) to be used in a future installation..
