about xilent:
from the moment he got his first drum & bass cd in 1999, eryk immediately fell in love and became influenced by such drum & bass pioneers as john b, dj rap, future cut, adam f, and calyx. in the following years, xilent experimented with production in a variety of styles ranging from techno to breakbeat, but it was in drum & bass that eryk found his niche. however, his experimentation into other genres would not be lost on his production work.  by fusing uplifting pads and heart-breaking melodies with the technical and sequencing influences of drum and bass and dubstep, he developed the xilent sound and saw him nominated for best newcomer producer at the 2011 drum & bass arena awards.  his tunes are consistently dominating beatport’s dubstep chart while simultaneously taking the genre in a new direction. join us for substance wednesdays with xilent as we feature this talented young producer who is on a meteoric rise to become one of the most talked about new producers and djs in electronic music.
