LUNAFEST:

Girl Power Hour invites you to help us celebrate women locally and nationally this holiday season with  Lunafest Seattle. This event will include a Girl Power Hour style cocktail reception and viewing of the films.You will enjoy nine inspiring short films by women filmmakers for women that will tug at your heartstrings and inspire you to make a difference in your community. Proceeds from this event will benefit  Reel Grrls  and The Breast Cancer Fund.
Attendees will experience a red-carpet evening… Show more filled with networking and more. The reception, taking place immediately before the film premier will include: astrology readings, henna, appetizers, wine, door prizes, entertainment, photo opportunities, live DJ and, swag bags handed out after the film.

Seattle Art Museum is a parnter for this event.  This fall, the Seattle Art Museum is host to an unprecedented set of exhibitions.  Elles: Women Artists from the Centre Pompidou, Paris  (through January 13) and Elles:  Sam – Singular Works by Seminal Women Artists  (through February 17). Sam is the only U.S. venue for these groundbreaking exhibitions that tell a story of modern and contemporary art solely through the work of women artists.
