Since their inception in 2002, modern jazz collective Motel 5 has amassed a broad repertoire of all original music with an emphasis on groove, improvisation, and group interplay. Comprised of five unique musical individuals, Motel 5 is collectively sculpting a new voice in the Northwest jazz scene. The sound of the quintet reflects the bands many stylistic influences ranging in style from funk to free to soulful balladry and rock, as well as highlights the strengths and beauty of each individual player's voice. Motel 5 consists of Dave Knirk - alto sax, Chris Credit - tenor sax, Chris Spencer - guitar, Matt Hopper - double bass, and Greg Rudolf - drums. "As For You" is Motel 5's second self released album.
