The VZ Valley Boys began as collaboration between banjoist Al Price and guitarist Phil Hansen in 1994. More recently joined by bass player Terry Niehaus and mandolin player Chris Luquette they have been performing in the greater Puget Sound region for many years at festivals, street fairs, restaurants, coffee houses and churches.
A typical VZ Valley Boys show includes a variety of material from contemporary and traditional bluegrass vocals and instrumentals, pop and swing material, along with some ragtime, blues, shuffles, and even rock melodies played on traditional instruments in new and inventive ways. The VZ Valley Boys are available to bring life to your event with spirited renditions of familiar tunes, a few musical surprises, and some witty banter.

I've heard the VZ Valley Boys at several local venues and always enjoy their music, energy and the fact that they love what they do. They have so much heart doing it! As James Brown said: "Music, it requires more than brawn. It requires a lot of heart. You gotta put love in there." The VZ Valley Boys definitely do!
