Olympia High School Drama starts off 2013 with King Lear, a tragedy by William Shakespeare. King Lear, follows the fall of the King of England and tells the parallel story of the Earl of Gloucester. As King Lear descends into madness, his daughters begin to rise, leading to a tragic ending that many believe is Shakespeare’s masterpiece. Olympia High School’s production of King Lear features well-known Olympia actors Andrew Gordon and Jason Haws in the roles of Lear and Gloucester.
