Prairie Appreciation Day

Saturday, May 12, 2012 10:00a to 3:00p

Don’t miss the 17th annual Prairie Appreciation Day, a free, family-friendly event in celebration of South Puget Sound’s prairies. The event will take place at two of the largest remaining remnants of prairie in western Washington: Thurston County's Glacial Heritage Preserve and the Department of Natural Resources Mima Mounds Natural Area. Explore self-guided trails, over 20 interactive stations, and enjoy the peace of the prairie. Bring a picnic, but please leave your pets at home.
