Saturday, May 17 2:00p
Price: Free
Phone: (360) 570-5841
Age Suitability: None Specified

Budd Inlet is currently the focus of numerous studies, many of which will result in clean-up actions that involve both citizen and government efforts. So what’s up with Budd? Located at the southern most point of Puget Sound, it takes well over one year for the water in Budd Inlet to cycle out to the Pacific Ocean. Find out about the tidal inlet that makes Olympia a unique and beautiful place! Attend at least three of the following programs or activities and get a 100% organic hemp sturdy carrying bag with artwork from Nikki McClure.

May 10th – Part three: Fish Toxic contaminants in the Puget Sound Food Web: How did they get there, and will they ever come out? Hosted by Jim West, M.Sc. Fish and Wildlife Research Scientist.

May 17 – Part four: Future Tainted Shorelines and Sediments: The Legacy for the Past Leaves Clean-Up for the Future. Hosted by Rebecca Lawson, Southwest Region Section Manager, Washington State Department of Ecology.

For details on the series and FREE carrying bag, contact Patricia Pyle, at (360) 570-5841 or visit the City of Olympia www.ci.olympia.wa.us.
